Antonio Nunziante

Biography

 

Standing on the shoulders of his classical predecessors, Antonio Nunziante is redefining and breathing new life into the articulation of Italian artistic identity. Inspired by the works of Salvador Dali, Pablo Picasso, Giorgio de Chirico and above all, Arnold Bocklin; Nunziante takes his viewer on a provocatively intimate journey to a place where reality and the fantasy world blend seamlessly together. Nunziante’s training in Turin and Florence, where his artistic sensibilities were shaped by the artwork of Cimabue, Giotto and Masaccio, served as a foundation to his international success and esteem. His success was cemented with the opening of his exhibition Nunziante, Paesaggi di luce (2011) shown in conjunction with the illustrious retrospective Van Gogh e il viaggio di Gauguin (2011) which featured the works of Van Gogh, Gauguin, Monet, Turner, Kandinsky, Wyeth and Homer.
